Dato’ Malik Imtiaz Sarwar

With more than 20 years experience as a litigator and about 200 reported decisions in a diverse range of practice areas to his credit, he has firmly established himself as a point of reference in dispute resolution. Imtiaz read law at the International Islamic University, has an LLM from the University of Hong Kong and a Masters in Studies in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University.
He was the recipient of the 2009 Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Award for Law and Campaigning. He has served as a member of the Bar Council, Malaysia and been a member of the Penang Pardons Board since 2009.
